On April 22, 2017 Blue Vasquez will make his debut at Brazos Throwdown II as he faces his opponent Edwin Hernandez. Vasquez is fighting out of Ohana Academy in San Antonio, TX. Hernandez, also making his debut, is from Submission Boxing Academy in Pearland, TX. The two fighters are ready to battle it out in the cage.

Why are you a fighter?
I’m a fighter because you’re constantly testing yourself and finding new thresholds.
What makes someone a fighter?
Hard work and dedication make someone a fighter. We all have different pasts, come from different backgrounds. It’s about how much you’re willing to sacrifice. It takes heart.
What are you goals in fighting?
My goals in fighting are to change lives. Show it’s possible to accomplish anything no matter your past and give people the opportunity I was given.
What's your favorite thing about fighting?
My favorite thing about fighting is the knowledge you gain everyday and the people you meet.
How did you get started in fighting?
I got started because I got lucky, walked into the right door at the right time.
If you could start your fight career over, what would you do differently?
I wouldn’t change a thing!
What do you like to do outside of fighting?
I really don’t do anything outside of fighting; my dreams and goals aren’t going to accomplish themselves.
What is your life motto?
You can accomplish anything you put your heart into.
Who has been the most inspirational person in your life and why?
The most inspirational person in my life has been Jason Yerrington. He’s a great mentor and helped make this opportunity possible. Always leads by example and really takes care of his Ohana!
