Why are you a fighter?
I am a fighter because I am willing to get out there and put in as much effort as I possibly can without letting fear stop me.
What makes someone a fighter?
A person who is willing to come in with an open mind ready to learn and put effort forth.
What are you goals in fighting?
To become the best in my division and learn from any lesson I have ahead of me.
What's your favorite thing about fighting?
Being able to focus to have everything on me. Not my coach, not my friends, but me. I would not be here if it weren’t for my amazing team. But when it comes to going one on one with somebody it changes everything all the time and work comes down to me.
How did you get started in fighting?
I had a friend who ended up going down a dark path of partying, drinking, and all. He needed a way out. MMA was the way out, he cleaned up his act, and had a fight coming up until he was murdered. He always told me to try it out. I never did until he passed. A lot of people from BVMMA knew him, so I felt it was the right place to start.
If you could start your fight career over, what would you do differently?
I would travel more and devote more time to being open and learning new techniques instead of being stubborn and close-minded. “Tap early and tap often”
What do you like to do outside of fighting?
I like to stay busy when I’m not working or training. Either working on my race truck or riding my bike. They keep me busy. I was playing paintable until I transitioned over to MMA. It was the next exciting thing for me to do.
What is your life motto?
Don’t talk about it, be about it.
Who has been the most inspirational person in your life and why?
Xavier, my friend who passed away, has given me the drive to stay focused and come in to fight. I wouldn’t have tried MMA if it wasn’t for him telling me how great it is.
What's something people should know about you?
I like to go fast and I love Whataburger.
Is there anyone you like to thank?
I want to thank my coaches and Brazos Valley MMA, of course. I would like to shout out O.G. Bully Camp, Tha Supply, Trillvill Houston, Proactive Chiropractic and Wellness, my family for supporting me and my goals in life.
