1) Why are you a fighter?
I've always enjoyed, benefited, and needed competition. Also, MMA in my opinion is one of the truest forms of competition.
2) What makes someone a fighter?
Thats a tough question. Everyone has to fight for something in their life.
3) What are you goals in fighting?
The only goals I've ever had in MMA were to better myself and everyone I could around me.
4) What's your favorite thing about fighting?
My favorite thing about fighting is the pureness of the competition in one-on-one Combat, and the realization that it has almost nothing to do with winning or losing, but showcasing what you've trained so hard to do for everyone who has supported you along the way.
5) How did you get started in fighting?
I found out about a random gym in Huntsville named Death Row MMA, started training with them and I was instantly addicted. I've needed some form of martial arts training ever since.
6) If you could start your fight career over, what would you do differently?
Start training when I was younger... I didn't start any MMA training until I was almost 30.
7) What do you like to do outside of fighting?
Outside of MMA I'm pretty boring, I just wanna be at home, spend as much time as I can with my wife and 3 children, make sure we all get to church on Sunday morning, and set an example for the way a Godly man is supposed to be.
8) What do you know about your opponent and how do you expect this fight to go down?
For the first time I know nothing at all about my opponent. But I'm hoping he's a great guy who's wanting to come out and put on a great show for all the fans in attendance, and, win or lose, earn everyone's respect.
9) Who has been the most inspirational person in your life?
The most inspirational person is Jesus Christ, my personal Lord and savior. After that there are too many to name.
10) What is something people should know about you?
People should know that if I can compete in something as crazy as MMA, then they can do just about anything they set their mind to.
11) Is there anyone you would like to thank?
My wife has worked so hard to help me get ready for this fight that I couldn't even begin to describe. I couldn't do this without her.
