How did you get started and what made you decide to be an MMA fighter?
I was a police officer and was looking for an advantage to defend myself.
What makes someone a fighter?
We all have something to fight for. I think identifying what that is and fighting for it makes someone a fighter.
How would you describe your fight style?

It encourages me to live a healthy lifestyle.
If you could start your fight career over, what would you do differently?
How do you feel about your upcoming fight?
I am excited about it. It will be fun to test myself against someone new.
What holes do you see in your opponent’s game?
I have very little information on him.
How do you think the fight is going to end?
I think it ends with a knock out.
What are your goals in MMA?
To be healthy and to set an example for my children to work hard.
If you could have one dream fight with any MMA fighter, who would it be?
Tito Ortiz would be fun.
What do you like to do outside of MMA?
Outside my MMA world, I enjoy to rock climb and workout. Spend time with my five children and wife.
What is your life motto?
“Seek ye first the kingdom of God."
Who has been the most inspirational person in your life and why?
My father. He taught me to work hard always.
What is something people should know about you?
I love to sing and was on season two of American Idol.
