Andrew Powers comes from a family of fighters. Coach and brother, Bobby Powers, is the head coach at Windy Fight Factory where Andrew trains. Sitting at 135 lbs., Powers has moved from flyweight to bantamweight and is looking to earn his first W in the cage on April 21st at the VFL: Brazos Throwdown IV. As a wrestler, Powers says that, "You don't pick your sport, your sport picks you." While he started out wrestling, he has been adding to his toolbox and now considers himself a very well-rounded fighter. Powers has been training with the Brazos Throwdown IV Title Fight contender, Kenndall Lewis.
Powers will be facing off against Brazos Throwdown vet, Paul Mead of Luling MMA. Both fighters will be looking to prove their skills and hard work, but only one will walk away with a new number in their win column. Get tickets to watch them fight live at the Brazos Expo here.
